Water, Sanitation & Hygiene
BBHA WASH programming responds to community needs related to safe water access, hygiene and sanitation, especially where crisis or poverty increases preventable health risks.
Programme priorities
- Boreholes and community water access where feasible
- Water treatment and purification support
- Hygiene promotion and essential supplies
- Community sanitation improvements
- Local maintenance and sustainability planning
What responsible delivery means
Projects are expected to consider technical feasibility, community ownership, maintenance needs and safe access so that infrastructure remains useful beyond initial delivery.
Monitoring and accountability
Activities are planned against defined needs and available resources. BBHA maintains programme records, safeguarding expectations, approval controls and follow-up processes appropriate to the intervention so that support can be reviewed and reported responsibly.
